Personal and Family Problems Can Best Be Solved Through a Community Effort

The TRECA Student Assistance Family Engagement (SAFE) program provides consultation and technical assistance on social-emotional and family problems that may be serving as barriers to learning and pose safety concerns for students.

On-Track Support Specialists will provide on-going assistance to TRECA/TDA Central and Regional office staff and teachers in identifying, contracting, monitoring, and referring non-participating and non-progressing students for intervention and Board approved alternative disposition options. In performing their duties, it is hoped that these job-related activities will increase the likelihood that students and parents will choose to take advantage of afforded opportunities to login, participate, and progress through their individualized academic Learning Plan with TRECA/TDA and help enhance our ability to retain students and ensure positive academic achievement and outcomes.
Parent Liaisons provide additional assistance, consultation, and support for individuals who have struggled with onboard with TDA. They meet, greet, welcome, and steer new parents and students to the right people, programs, and services to make a smooth transition into a digital learning environment.
